Immigration procedure TEV
- General
If you have the nationality of a country outside the EU/EEA (with the exception of: Canada, United States of America, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Monaco or Vatican City), you will need an MVV visa and a residence permit for your arrival and stay in the Netherlands. Please watch the video and follow the steps below for the procedure.
You can find the banking details for the transaction in the immigration instruction email you have received from us. Don’t forget to mention your full name and student number in the description of your payment.
You can find information about the financial guarantee here.
We will start your immigration procedure when:
You will receive a confirmation email after we have sent your application to the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service).
We will buy AON complete + student insurance for you when we have sent your documents to the IND. A copy of your insurance certificate will be sent to you by AON.
The IND will let us know their decision within 4 weeks. The moment we receive the decision letter, we will send you a copy.
After you have received the confirmation that your application is approved, you will need to make an appointment at the Dutch embassy or Consulate General. They will give you a sticker in your passport, your MVV visa. This visa is valid for 90 days, so please make sure you arrive in the Netherlands before it expires.
The biometric data (passport photo, signature and fingerprints) that you have provided at the Dutch embassy or Consulate General will be sent to the IND in the Netherlands. This data will be used to create your Dutch residence permit card. We will let you know by email when and where to pick it up.
