The Quiet Room of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences offers students, staff and visitors the opportunity to reflect, catch their breath, pray or read something. The centre has an atmosphere of peace and calm and is arranged in such a way that everyone, of whatever confession or religion, can go there at any time of the day.

On the writing table in the Quiet Room is a Bible and a Quran for you to read.  There is also a book in which a few words, a thought, a wish, a prayer or a story can be written down.

Motivation

The Quiet Room was set up at the request of three Indonesian students. They were looking for a space within the Hanze to pray. The realisation of the Quiet Room is in line with the spearhead of 'active tolerance' and the diversity policy of the Hanze.
